United Airlines' first Boeing 737 MAX 10 registration N27753 was spotted today in Renton, Washington. MAX 10 is nearing completion of final assembly in preparation for test flight with MSN 66118. United Airlines will receive the plane soon.

United Airlines signs a deal with Boeing to transition its current 737 MAX 9 order to the MAX 10, making United the world's largest MAX 10 operator; 100 MAX will be delivered over the next few years. United was initially scheduled to receive the first MAX 10 in 2020, but due to the pandemic, the delivery date has been pushed back several years.

The MAX 10 made its maiden flight on June 18, 2021, when it arrived at Boeing Field in Seattle. The 2.5-hour trip through Washington state is officially out of the certification process for the plane, which is expected to enter civilian service in 2023.

The Max 10 is the largest and fourth member of the Boeing 737 Max series, seating 204 passengers in a standard configuration. It is designed to compete with the Airbus A321neo. Like previous Max models, it features a redesigned and more spacious passenger cabin, quieter and relatively cleaner engine, and improved fuel consumption.

The Max 10 was officially rolled out of Boeing's Renton, Washington, factory in November 2019, eight months after all Max aircraft were grounded globally following two fatal crashes. Although the plane is equipped with the MCAS flight control system, which is indicated for disasters, the Federal Aviation Administration required that nearly all Max 10s make the necessary modifications to lift the ban order in November.
