The kit feels well made and feels solid once installed, however, I have yet to experience any actual loads. The only problem I've had so far is that the hammer provided is too light to fit enough pegs into the sandy/gravel soil I'm having.
Used for the first time in Oshkosh. Fortunately, we didn't have to test them in the confines of wind and rain. Let's hope it stays that way.

Used this one at OSH21 during some major storms. I used it to tie up my PA-16 (Lightweight Taildragger), a top contender that could get blown away in a storm. The Claw has been tying it up for the whole week. I will probably use some higher quality rope with it in the future, but the one provided seems very sturdy. There are DIY options that work just as well, but for the price, the Claw captured my laziness. Great product.
Great product! Bought in 2021 OSH to secure my RV7 and keep my A/C in place during a big storm. Highly recommended!
Work like a champ on a dry lake. I any improvement will be in the form of ratcheting straps. Otherwise, it is great.

This is the second set of lanyards I have purchased to use in two locations. The claw works great and I'm very happy with it.
Not the highest quality hammer or string, but a good system that will work well when traveling between grassy and country environments.
Motorcycle Anchor Points
Looks well done. An addition would be a clip to allow you to easily remove the rope from the hook and attach it to the airport fastening system.
It's a bit expensive and a bit heavy but it works well on rocky soils common in New England, which can be a problem for screw anchors. I only need 2 so spares should be less of an issue. However, reported anchor breaks are a concern.
Nice kit, works well, but I also broke one of the nails. What's the story there? Spare parts are not available at Spruce for this item.
Used this at Cessna 150-152 Club Fly-In and at AirVenture. My only complaint is that when I hit one of the spikes the head popped out. That's bad news. The good news is it's on AirVoji, so I just go to the claw booth in the vendor area with the tip of my fingernail and show them. They knew exactly what happened and gave me a fresh spike on the spot.

Q: About the claw fastening system: How long is the stake or pin? What is the fully open claw diameter?
With any tie system, it's only as good as the soil you put it in. This system works well on frozen ground but not in pure ice. For snow, performance will depend on soil type and degree of saturation.
Q: Is the price for the whole set (with 3 nails, wrap, hammer) or is the price for each nail only?

Great system design. Simple to use and powerful. It has kept our J3 and Stinson in place for the past 7 years in OSH even in nasty winds. I don't trust any other lanyard kits. I upgraded to a heavier hammer for easier driving.
I haven't used the lanyards yet, but I really like the design method they used and now that I have them in hand, they are well made and I think they will do their job well without the laces. must start too hard.

You can use the opposite end of the included hammer head to remove spikes from the ground with a lever.
